I chose to use a Pallet of live instruments, field recordings, analogue synthesis and warped samples to create a dreamy nostalgic sound scape for this beautiful piece of film. Sound Design Sound Design Sound Design - PAIN - Trailer (Short Film) The visionary writer and director Marcus Kartal asked me to have a go at building a soundscape of anxiety and pain for a film idea that came to him in a dream, naturally I jumped on the opportunity. Ive had a lifelong interest in and fascination with sound both subtle and outstanding. my interests started with music where I learned a myriad of obscure yet familiar instruments including the Japanese shakuhachi, Armenian duduk , and the Double Baritone Ocarina all three featured in the soundtrack for the above film (Hear With Me) those skills combined with my extensive library of field recordings are my tools for creating a soundscape to compliment your cinematography.
